Join the Invasive Species Centre on September 22nd,
2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for a virtual information session
on Eurasian watermilfoil, one of Ontario’s most widespread aquatic invasive plants. This session will bring together researchers, government agencies, and on-the-ground practitioners to discuss Eurasian watermilfoil management in Ontario and beyond. Participants will learn about the biology and impacts of EWM, its distribution across Ontario, relevant legislation and permitting considerations, emerging research, management case studies from Ontario and the United States, and biological control initiatives.

Urgent Notice to Lake Associations
The NFLAA has learned that there have been a rash of break ins and thefts happening in North Frontenac. These seem to be linked to a lack of snow and easy access to cottage properties.
The OPP are aware of at least sixteen break and enters over the past couple of weeks, all related to absent owner properties. They are looking for a black 2016 Dodge Ram / trailer and a white SUV. If you have trail cams set them up, watch your neighbors property and inform the OPP if you see anything suspicious.

On July 22, 2020 at a Public Meeting for the Ardoch Lake Condominium proposal, the NFLAA submitted an official objection stating that our Alliance of 20 Lake Associations was not in agreement with the use of lot size averaging to justify approval for the proposal.
